Qullissat is on the west coast of Greenland, and it was the city in the municipality of Vaigat. Close places often mentioned in files are the site Atanikerdluk, the village Saqqaq, and the cities of Ilulissat and Qeqertarsuaq.
The former city was hit by a tsunami year 2000, caused by a large landslide at Paatuut. The wave washed up to 30 meters above sea level, and the traces can be seen to day, as most lower houses as been damaged or are swept away. You can read more about the landslide at GEUS in the Geology of Greenland Survey Bulletin 191 from 2001: http://www.geus.dk/DK/publications/geol-gl-surv-bull/191/Sider/gsb191p73-83-dk.aspx.
